Events in a series

Both happy and sad

Each one unfolds,

Changing lives for good or for bad.

Someone’s life has ceased;

They have died,

As a baby first breathes

And a baby first cries.

Lovers vow and they are wed

To go live happily,

While another couple’s strife has led

To their final divorce decree.

And so go our lives

As fate will dictate

A river of passing events

For us to navigate.
